- to promote the legal and sustainable fishing and fisheries of members
both nationally and internationally;
- to facilitate members of the Association working with each other,
governments, conservation groups and the general public to eliminate
IUU;
- to be a not for profit powerful international alliance of legal toothfish
operators;
- to represent the legal toothfish industry to ensure its members have a
viable economic future in the industry;
- to inform the public that there are legitimate, sustainable, toothfish
fisheries selling product into markets around the world; and
- to provide effective representation and input at international toothfish
management and scientific meetings.
