South Georgia and the Falklands get Street View

One hundred years after Sir Ernest Shackleton stepped foot on South Georgia – an island that had never been mapped – Google has brought the isolated region into people’s homes, adding the subantarctic isle and the neighbouring Falkland Islands to its arsenal of Street View imagery.

BBC Travel tagged along with Google and Lindblad Expeditions for an exclusive look at how they photographed these isolated islands.
